We left at about 6 on Thursday the 1st and drove to Ontario, Oregon. We crashed at the Holiday Inn.
On day two we drove the rest of the way to our beach house. We stopped at Multnomah Falls along the way. It was pouring rain but we learned quickly that we needed to get used to it. That was the forecast for the entire time we were there! The girls and I hiking to the falls.

We got to the cabin with a few mishaps. First: the freak hailstorm that almost caused us to get in an accident. Second: the wind slamming the door to the beach house with the key INSIDE! But we finally got in, I ran to the store for some groceries, we ate Chili for dinner, put the girls to bed and I ended my day in the bliss pictured here. An open window, the sound of ocean waves and rain pounding outside and a deep hot bath with some bubbly, a candle and my book. HEAVEN.
